Sputnik V vaccine production standards recognised in Europe

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) specialists have recognised the production standards of Sputnik V – as stated by the Deputy Director of the Gamaleya National Centre of Epidemiology and Microbiology Denis Logunov, quoted by RIA Novosti

“This part of the work on the recognition of the production standards, on the recognition of how the clinical trials were carried out, in this part, the EMA has already arrived, and we have no critical remarks regarding the conduct of clinical trials, we received a positive conclusion,” said Mr. Logunov.

He stressed that in the future it is important to harmonise production standards of the EU, Russia and China.

Sputnik V has already been approved in more than seventy countries, including Belarus. The vaccine is ranked second worldwide in terms of the number of permits received.
