Sports and Tourism Ministry: 8m+ foreign tourists likely to visit Belarus in 2025

It is expected that more than 8 million foreign tourists will visit Belarus in 2025 – as noted by Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Oleg Andreichik in his talk with ONT

According to Mr. Andreichik, exports of tourist services amounted to $295m in January-September 2025, which was 43 percent more than in the same period last year. In 2024, the overall figure stood at $268m, surpassing the pre-COVID year of 2019 results.

Among the most popular destinations are historical and cultural tourism, sanatorium and resort recreation, agro- and ecotourism, as well as industrial tourism. "In just nine months of 2025, 202 thousand foreign tourists (11,000 more than in 2024) recuperated in Belarusian sanatoriums,” Mr. Andreichik noted.

On the eve of the Christmas and New Year holidays, the Sports and Tourism Ministry has prepared a seasonal calendar – Winter in the Republic of Belarus 2025-2026, which is posted on its official website and on the National Tourism Agency portal. The announced 159 events are designed for different age and social groups, including children's programmes and family vacations.

Mr. Andreichik emphasised, “Many new tourist products and projects are planned for the winter season, and they are likely to be of interest to both Belarusians and foreign guests.”
