South Korea stressed its position on impossibility of supplying weapons to Ukraine remains unchanged
The official representative of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, Chung Ha-gyu, noted that the government of the country did not change its decision on the impossibility of supplying weapons to Ukraine, as reported by TV Chosun
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he would have a positive attitude towards the supply of weapons from the Republic of Korea. The same call was then repeated by the Ukrainian Ambassador in Seoul.
South Korean military Chung Ha-gyu stressed that the country is currently providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, including assistance in reconstruction.
“There is no change in the government’s position that it does not supply lethal weapons to Ukraine,” he said.
Moreover, Chung Ha-gyu added that he is aware of Kiev’s calls, but such issues should only be considered at the government level.
