“Following our appeal, Aleksandr Grigorievich signed a decree on pardon yesterday [on June 6th]. I think this is important for you," Mr. Kozhemyako addressed the pardoned woman.

“I would like to thank President Aleksandr Grigorievich Lukashenko for the opportunity he gave me, for the gift he made not only for me, but also for my family, for the ability to return home to my mother and my father, for being given a second chance. It has been given not to many people, but I was really very lucky," Sofia Sapega shared her first emotions.

Mr. Kozhemyako wished happy life to the lady, “You will be engaged in the economy, your family affairs. There is always an opportunity to come to senses, look around and draw some conclusions. It is really important to invest all the accumulated, unspent potential, energy into the projects that will allow you to feel normal in the future. There is nothing better than being free to do what you love.”

"That's right," the pardoned lady responded.
