Snopkov: HTP exports comparable to those in potash industry

In terms of exports, the Hi-Tech Park actually corresponds to the exports of the country’s potash industry – as stated by Belarus’ First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov during his report to the President on HTP development. He also underlined that HTP was established and developed thanks to the Head of State.

Nikolai Snopkov drew Aleksandr Lukashenko’s attention to the ‘explosive growth [of economic indicators] over the past five years’. “In fact, in terms of HTP exports, it corresponds to the exports of potash fertilisers. This is a serious contribution to exports and to the foreign trade balance, which is very important for us. This explosive growth in the last five years became possible thanks to you.”

According to the First Deputy PM, the HTP is a good example of a new direction in the economy, “They have really developed a competence, it is a really significant structure capable of performing any tasks in the global space. Not only and not so much in Belarus, although you quite rightly noted that they were at least a driver, a trigger for the development of relevant competencies in industry, in the real sector of the economy, and not only in the Industry Ministry, but everywhere.”
