Shpakovsky: Nazism leads the society that adopted its ideas to war
A society that has adopted the ideas of Nazism and radical nationalism comes to war sooner or later – as stated by political analyst Aleksandr Shpakovsky in his talk with Alfa Radio
“Nazism and radical nationalism sooner or later lead the society – that has adopted these ideas – to war, because they initially carry the core of confrontation. That is, they need an external enemy, a collision with which is inevitable either for the sake of protecting their ideals, or for the sake of their advancement into external space,” Mr. Shpakovsky drew attention.
According to the political expert, Nazism also often leads to internal conflict.
“By the way, it was in Germany, because the second most popular political force after the National Socialist German Workers’ Party was the Communist Party. In the internal confrontation, which was quite bloody and was accompanied by street fighting, the Nazis defeated the Communists. Many of them were imprisoned in concentration camps,” clarified the political analyst.
He also added that there is a whole range of reasons that encourage ordinary citizens and the ruling circles in separate states to adopt this ideology or its components.
“Look at Ukraine. These ideas have been organically built into the system of state domestic policy for eight years. They denied the existence of such a problem outwardly, but inside, both political neo-Nazi movements and their armed wing – in the form of volunteer battalions and various regiments – were developing. We see that they have managed to bring up a certain generation of adherents of these ideas, and they behave quite steadfastly in the theatre of operations. There is nothing surprising here,” stated Mr. Shpakovsky.
