The Year of Improvement is designed to unite the efforts of the state and society to further improve the quality of life – as stated by Igor Sergeyenko, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, at a meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives
“The Head of State defined the coming years as the five-year quality plan, which envisages comprehensive transformations aimed at achieving high standards of quality of life, an increase in the welfare of society, the improvement of the efficiency of the economy, management and quality, the optimisation of production processes, and the improvement of the characteristics of goods, works and services. 2025 has been declared the Year of Improvement in Belarus. On January 9th, the relevant Presidential decree No. 1 was published. It provides for the implementation of a set of measures aimed at creating and maintaining a comfortable, safe, modern and aesthetically organised environment for people," Mr. Sergeyenko said.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives added that the state will implement these measures jointly with organisations and citizens, including by activating the volunteer movement and civic initiatives aimed at improving the country.
“The Year of Landscaping is designed to unite the efforts of the state and society to further improve the quality of life in the Republic of Belarus. We must not only appreciate what has been done by hardworking Belarusian people, but also multiply our achievements. Everyone in their workplace and at home should get involved in the work of improving the country. Everyone should do their part to improve the quality of life at their own level. Most importantly, it is necessary to realise and understand that we work not only for our own financial benefit, but for the benefit of the whole country," Mr. Sergeyenko emphasised.
