Sergeyenko: our task is to convey truth about what’s happening in everyday communication

This was stated by Head of the Belarus President Administration, Igor Sergeyenko, during a meeting with servicemen of the 19th Separate Guards Mechanised Brigade and residents of the Zaslonovo village, in the Lepel District. He drew attention to the number of fakes that appeared on the Internet relating to the situation in Ukraine. He cited as an example one of them: that our servicemen are fighting on the territory of Ukraine in Russian military uniforms.

“It is difficult to understand all these intricacies. Moreover, the information weapon today is essentially in the hands of the collective West. Our task is to convey the truth in the course of everyday communication, including visiting different labour teams,” he said.

Igor Sergeyenko also calmed down the wives and mothers of servicemen, assuring them that their husbands and sons would defend our country only on their own territory.

Head of the Belarus President Administration underlined that his visit to the district is not of an emergency character, “I often visit various labour teams of the country. Today I want to talk about what worries the people of the country, answering the questions of citizens,” he said, outlining the purpose of his visit.

Igor Sergeyenko noted that every year in our country there are challenges and threats that we have to fight and to overcome, and which we have to take into account in our work.

“The situation related to the special military operation in Ukraine is in the spotlight, since many of us have relatives both in Ukraine and in Russia. A few years ago, it was even difficult to imagine that this could happen,” he stated. “Unfortunately, in Ukraine, a change in the minds of people actually took place: the country was pumped up with radical elements, Nazi ideas were propagated, Russian culture was systematically destroyed, and historical memory was crashed. The so-called democratic West did not notice the monstrous crimes committed there.”

Moreover, the meeting also tackled the adopted Constitution and our country’s socio-economic development. Igor Sergeyenko promised to sort out the acute issues related to the work of trade and healthcare, as well as housing and communal services.
