Sergeyenko: draft textbook on history of Belarus’ statehood ready
A draft textbook on history of Belarusian statehood has been prepared – as informed by the Head of the President Administration, Igor Sergeyenko, shortly before today’s meeting of the Republican Council for Historical Policy at the National Academy of Sciences
“We have a unique five-volume scientific publication: The History of Belarusian Statehood. Belarusian Statehood: From Its Origins to Late 18th Century. It was released by the National Academy of Sciences, but is more adapted for the study and work of specialists, historians, and scientists. In turn, a working group has prepared a corresponding draft textbook on history of Belarusian statehood to be used at higher educational establishments to study the History of Belarusian Statehood course,” Mr. Sergeyenko said.
The Head of the President Administration stressed, “Definitely, the textbook should be interesting, available and very compact – so that to arouse interest not only among specialists in the humanities, but also students who specialise in technical disciplines. Differently speaking, it should once again face our history.”
