Second session of 7th Belarusian People’s Congress to take place in Minsk on December 18th-19th

The official campaign to prepare for the second session of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress has been launched. According to an order signed by Aleksandr Lukashenko, the Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress, the event will be held in Minsk on December 18th-19th, 2025, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service.

This is the first time that the supreme representative body of the people’s power is convened through an order issued by the Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress. The first session of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress was held on April 24th-25th, 2024, and was convened by the Central Election Commission (CEC) in accordance with the law.

The organising committee for preparing and holding the sessions of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress was established in February this year. It is headed by Belarus’ Prime Minister and includes several senior officials, heads of ministries, chairs of regional executive committees, the Minsk City Executive Committee, and representatives from other government bodies.
