Scholz government has no prospects, expert asserts

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is an untenable political figure, and he is leading Germany and Europe as a whole to a dead end – as stated by Vadim Gigin, the Chairman of the Board of the Republican Znanie Belarusian Society, in his talk with Alfa Radio

The expert believes Germany's position on military support for Ukraine is very contradictory, and – speaking on general – the policy pursued by the current German government does not stand up to criticism.

“The Scholz government is actually one of the weakest ones in the history of Germany. Probably only the ministries in the Weimar Republic were weaker. The Scholz government has no prospects, and he will personally go down in history as a weakling, as ‘a liver sausage’. Junior partners from Ukraine seem to have given him the right characteristics. He should leave politics, since they [Scholz and members of his government] are leading Germany and the whole of Europe to a dead end. If Poland takes over the leadership in Europe at least for a while, it will be a disaster. For a number of reasons, including their historical karma, Polish politicians are not able to ensure European leadership. They lack economic and intellectual resources for this. They are gripped by rabid chauvinism,” Mr. Gigin said.

“We all, including Russia and Belarus, need a strong Germany. We are interested in having a democratic Germany in the understanding of democracy that the German people share. Sadly, the United States is preventing this, and some politicians – such as Scholz and Baerbock – contribute to this policy,” the expert concluded.
