Scholarships of Belarus’ President granted to 64 young scientists

On December 23rd, President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 241rp On Encouraging Talented Young Scientists, BelTA reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

The document aims to encourage and provide state support for the creative initiative of talented young scientists, strengthening the potential of domestic scientific schools and involving young people in scientific activities.

In accordance with the decree, 64 young scientists will receive scholarships of the President of Belarus. Among them are three doctors of sciences under the age of 45, as well as 35 candidates of sciences under the age of 35. Twenty-six young scientists under the age of 30 have no academic degree.

Among the new scholarship holders are representatives of physical, mathematical, technical, chemical, biological, medical, agricultural, social and humanitarian sciences. Young people work in the priority areas of scientific, technical and innovative activities, being successfully engaged in the most relevant topics for the development of these areas. All research and development are applied in nature, and the results obtained have high scientific significance – being used in practical activities and the educational process, also contributing to Belarus’ socio-economic development.
