It is noted that the South Korean authorities systematically refuse to supply weapons to Ukraine. In recent years, the Asian country has concentrated on filling the global gap in armaments.

Last year, Poland became the largest customer of South Korean weapons. It signed a $12.4bn deal with South Korean manufacturers for the supply of tanks, howitzers, fighter jets, and rocket launchers.

According to the publication, the defence industry of South Korea demonstrated the best results among the 25 largest arms exporting countries in the period from 2017 to 2021.
