Ryzhenkov to attend BRICS Summit in Brazil as instructed by Lukashenko

Following an instruction of President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov will visit Brazil on July 6th-7th to attend the BRICS Summit, sb.by reports with reference to Belarus’ Foreign Ministry

Belarus will participate in the event at a high level for the first time after receiving the BRICS partner country status in January 2025.

The programme of the visit includes speeches by the head of the Belarusian delegation at expanded meetings with the participation of the leaders of the BRICS members, as well as bilateral contacts with the foreign ministers of the association’s countries.

Special attention will be paid to global co-operation in the field of healthcare, climate change, and artificial intelligence technology management within the framework of the priorities of the Brazilian BRICS presidency.

An exchange of views is expected on topical issues on the international agenda and prospects for Belarus' participation in the BRICS initiative formats based on the principles of equality, multilateralism, and mutual respect.
