Russian State Duma said the threat of global economic crisis becoming a reality
The threat of a global economic crisis is no longer something from the realm of theories, but a completely realistic version of the further development of events on the planet – as stated by Andrei Makarov, the Head of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes, RIA Novosti reports
The deputy listed the factors that will affect the budget of Russia in the coming years. These are the sanctions of the West, the destruction of supply chains, the severing of economic ties in the world, as well as ‘the factor of the really impending, becoming more and more real threat of the global economic crisis’.
Makarov warned that if the world economic crisis happens, the Russian economy will also be affected.
In the meantime, people around the world are protesting against rising prices, demanding to freeze them and to raise wages for workers. Large-scale demonstrations took place over the weekend in Paris, with tens of thousands of people coming out to demonstrate.
