Russian scientists say they will bring back particles of extraterrestrial origin from Antarctica
Russian scientists at the Vostok intracontinental station have collected 100 samples of space dust which will be sent to St Petersburg on the Akademik Fedorov scientific expedition ship in mid-2025 for detailed study, TASS reports

It is reported that 100 samples of space dust have been collected at the Vostok intracontinental station. Scientists note that the analysis of the obtained particles will help to better understand the processes occurring in the solar system, shed light on the structure and composition of space objects, and obtain new data on the possible origin of life on Earth.
As noted, materials from central Antarctica are particularly valuable due to the great remoteness of the area from densely populated continents and the low concentration of continental, marine and industrial dust there.
