Russian Foreign Ministry commented on progress in Ukraine-Russia talks
The official representative of Russia’s Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has informed that contacts between the two countries in the framework of the negotiation process are continuing, TASS reports
"Contacts [between Russia and Ukraine] are in progress,” Ms. Zakharova told Sputnik radio.
The Russian Foreign Ministry’s representative also commented on statements of the American authorities that Washington does not see ‘a viable negotiating path’ to settle the Ukrainian conflict. “I think many statements are being made, among other things, under the influence of the current – rather than coming – change in the composition of the US Administration. We should not be surprised by these fragmentary and contradictory statements," Ms. Zakharova stressed.
