Russia to support Belarus in production of new Iskander-type missile
During today’s meeting on issues of state defence needs for 2022, Aleksandr Lukashenko said that – during his meeting with the President of Russia in the Far East – an agreement was reached on Russia's assistance to Belarus in production of a new missile
“We – Putin, Lukashenko, Rogozin, people who are engaged in missile production in Russia – agreed that they would take a look at our developments. We are creating a new missile – which is very effective and which is like Iskander. In my presence, the President [of Russia] set the task for Dmitry Rogozin to immediately provide support so that we would not waste time by reinventing a bicycle, but could use the experience of Russian missile manufacturers who were involved into Iskander development,” Belarus’ Head of State informed.
