Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Region already working on opening large trading house of Belarusian goods
Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Region is working on the issue of opening a large trading house of Belarusian goods, Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Gleb Nikitin told reporters after today’s meeting with President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko
Commenting on the proposal of the President of Belarus to set up a large trading house of Belarusian goods in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, where not only foodstuffs but also consumer goods would be presented, Mr. Nikitin said, “We are not just working on this issue. With our partners, we have already selected a site for such a centre. We are extremely interested in it. It should be a modern centre worthy of our co-operation and Belarusian manufacturers. We are ready to do it.”
According to the head of the Russian region, Minsk shopping centres have been taken as a basis for the project, now a final decision is expected, including from the Belarusian side.
“As far as co-operation with Belarus is concerned, we are very optimistic, and I appreciate very much that Aleksandr Grigorievich leads all the projects himself, remembers, supports them, and quite unambiguously notes our Nizhny Novgorod aspiration to further strengthen co-operation with Belarusian partners,” the Russian governor summarised.
