Russia’s Khabarovsk Krai keen to establish trade and service centres of Amkodor machinery
Co-operation between Belarus’ Amkodor Holding Managing Company and Russia’s Khabarovsk Krai high on the agenda during a meeting of the delegation of this Russian region with the Belarusian company management in Minsk
“The delegation of the Khabarovsk Krai headed by Governor Dmitry Demeshin visited Amkodor JSC – Holding Managing Company,” the press centre of the Belarusian enterprise noted. “The guests visited the permanent exhibition of the machinery, appreciating the high quality and the variety of machines, which can be useful for all sectors of the Khabarovsk Krai economy. During the talks, the two sides discussed possible areas of co-operation resulting in the signing of a memorandum of intent between the Khabarovsk Krai Government and Amkodor on the development of socio-economic relations.”
In turn, the official Telegram channel of Khabarovsk Krai Governor Dmitry Demeshin provided clarifying information: the Russian region is keen to establish Amkodor sales and service centres, “This would enable enterprises, including those from all over the Far East, to promptly repair machinery that has broken down. We are also ready to locate production facilities of our Belarusian partners in the region; we are currently studying this issue as part of the planned industrial park. We have signed a memorandum of co-operation with Amkodor Director General Dmitry Bartashevich. This huge industrial holding produces about 24 thousand items of products, including wheel loaders, rollers, motor graders, excavators, earthmovers, snow ploughs, bulldozers, tractors and other special machines for road-building, logistics, municipal, forestry and agricultural industries. All this is very much in demand in our area.”
The history of Amkodor machine-building holding dates back to 1927. The first special equipment – the KM-800 earthmoving machine – was produced at the future parent company (the Udarnik plant) in 1951. In 1991, Amkodor JSC was established on the premises of the Udarnik plant by transforming the Minsk Research and Production Association of the Road Mechanical Engineering. Currently, the holding of the same name unites 30 enterprises, including 22 plants, which are located in Belarus, Russia and the CIS states.
