Russia plans to unilaterally open humanitarian corridors daily
Russia plans to open humanitarian corridors from the areas of its special military operation in Ukraine on a daily basis and without co-ordination, TASS reports
The Head of the Russian National Defence Control Centre, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, explained, “We officially announce that humanitarian corridors for the Russian Federation will now be opened unilaterally and without any co-ordination, every day from 10am.” According to him, evacuation routes in other directions ‘will be negotiated with the Ukrainian side’.
He stressed that security is guaranteed in the territories that are under control of the Russian Armed Forces. "We ask the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations to work closely with the Ukrainian authorities on the ground to inform the people of Ukraine about this Russian initiative," Mr. Mizintsev added.
The Colonel-General also said that the humanitarian situation in Ukraine continues to deteriorate.
