Russia confirmed readiness to ensure Ukrainian grain exports

Mr. Vershinin also confirmed that Russia is ready to fulfil its export obligations in full, in particular with regard to supplies of grain crops and fertilisers, but this is hindered by illegal unilateral sanctions imposed by the West. He added that Russia had never blocked and is not blocking at the moment the Black Sea ports of Ukraine. The use of the latter is currently impossible since these ports have been mined by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Sergei Vershinin and Martin Griffiths also discussed humanitarian assistance to Syria in accordance with international law.
