Roads of Victory international motor rally to visit 12 cities of Belarus, Russia

The 8th Roads of Victory international motor rally, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, will be held from April 27th to May 10th, sb.by reports with reference to the CIS Executive Committee’s press service

The rally participants will cover more than 3,500 km. Their route will pass through twelve cities of Belarus and Russia: Brest, Minsk, Polotsk, Pskov, St. Petersburg, Tver, Moscow, Tula, Ryazan, Tambov, Saratov and Volgograd. The international rally will start in Brest, where the participants will pay tribute to the Soviet soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War by laying flowers at the Eternal Flame of the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial.

The motorcade will arrive in the Belarusian capital on April 28th. On this day, the CIS headquarters will host the international scientific and practical conference – Introduction of New Technologies in the Road Industry – with the participation of representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and permanent plenipotentiary representatives of the CIS member states to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth. In addition, a rich cultural and tourist programme is envisaged: acquaintance with the history, customs and traditions of residents of different regions of Belarus and Russia, concerts with the participation of local artists.

The action was organised by the Intergovernmental Council of Road Workers with the support of the CIS Executive Committee, the IPA CIS, international and public organisations and associated members of the Intergovernmental Council of Road Workers.
