Reuters: US seeking TNT in Japan for Ukraine artillery shells
The US authorities are seeking to secure the supplies of TNT (explosive) in Japan for 155mm artillery shells which are supposed to be transferred to Kiev, Reuters reports
According to the news agency, the American side wants to import TNT, because the United States hastily sends weapons and ammunition to Ukraine for a counteroffensive.
It is noted that under the law of Japan it’s now forbidden to sell weapons to the Ukrainian side. Nonetheless, as underlined in the agency, the allies appear to have found a workaround to enable the TNT sale amid global shortages of munitions.
The source reports that the Japanese authorities are already ready to sell TNT to the American side which will be used in the production of shells at the Pentagon factories.
