Representatives of India, Russia discuss promotion of co-operation on defence projects

India and Russia held a meeting of the working group on military and military-technical cooperation – as reported by TASS


The Indian Ministry of Defence reported that the countries discussed the extension of current projects and new initiatives.

“The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere, with discussions focusing on continuing the ongoing defence projects of the two countries, as well as on exploring new initiatives within existing bilateral co-operation mechanisms.”

The meeting of the working group was held on July 18th-19th in New Delhi. The event was co-chaired by Lieutenant General Johnson P Mathew, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC), HQ – IDS, and Lieutenant General Igor Dylevsky, the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
