Protection of Belarus’ state border enhanced

In accordance with the instructions of the President, the protection of the border in the western and southern directions has been strengthened – as reported in the Telegram channel of the State Border Committee of Belarus

“Against the background of the current situation, a set of regime measures is being implemented to prevent possible provocations and the penetration of sabotage and reconnaissance groups into the territory of our country. As part of the additional cover of the border with Ukraine, the reserves of border groups and detachments are involved, as well as the units of the Defence Ministry,” reads the statement.

The personnel of the territorial bodies of the border service are in points of permanent deployment. Belarusian checkpoints operate as usual. Additional restrictions on the passage of persons and vehicles were not introduced.

The situation at the state border remains under control.
