The illusion of the West: a democracy that never existed there
Countries of the golden billion boast of their supposedly long-standing traditions of popular governance and urge everyone to partake in their experience. French philosopher Jean Baudrillard proposed referring to unreal objects and phenomena that are artfully imitated as existing as ‘simulacra’. From this perspective, the Western systems of alleged collective governance should be recognised as quite a clever forgery.

The President of Belarus,
Aleksandr Lukashenko,
“Everything they [Western countries] undertake under the banner of democracy and world improvement leads to the opposite. I have already said: Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, the countries of Africa, and today Ukraine are indisputable examples. This is the outcome of a unipolar world. It does not work and it could never work.”

Act out of sync
In the middle of last year, a project for yet another version of the so-called Belarus Democracy Act appeared on the US Congress website. Belarusian fugitives were joyfully invigorated. Sure thing! The adoption of this document promises them funding from the American budget. Is this not a reason for those accustomed to living off the handouts of their overseas master to rub their hands together eagerly? True, US President Donald Trump has currently imposed a 90-day pause on aid to foreign entities. But who knows what will happen next? Washington may soon reopen the financial floodgates for activists of all kinds and nationalities.By the way, a similar Belarus Democracy Act was adopted by the United States in 2004, 2006, 2011, and 2020. The first time it was passed was immediately after the 2004 referendum. Let us remind you that the Belarusian people voted for strong Presidential power, and thus for order and stability in the country. In this regard, a rhetorical question is posed to the authors of the act: what could be more democratic than the expression of will in a referendum?!
The second, third, and fourth versions of this strange document were presented to us after the Presidential elections of 2006, 2010, and 2020. The reason remains the same — the election campaign results that did not please the White House. It turns out that each such act was clearly out of sync with our truly democratic actions.
An important detail: in 2015, the Presidential election in Belarus was not ‘honoured’ with such an act. It seems that even then, the West was planning to plunge our country into chaos in 2020. Therefore, in order not to reveal their plans prematurely, they chose to appear friendly — a pure form of duplicity. As for the latest version of Belarus Democracy Act, it seems to be stuck somewhere in the depths of American bureaucracy. Consequently, those who advocate for the common good — but in reality are after distributing American budget funds into their own pockets — are genuinely alarmed. However, it should be noted that the US budget for the next year has already been drafted and approved. It undoubtedly includes funds for further attempts to destabilise our country according to the Ukrainian scenario. As for the act itself, it is clearly ‘charged’ for the future. Therefore, we can confidently assume that the transatlantic ‘Shere Khan’ and its European ‘Tabaquis’ will not leave us in peace. But in general, does the West have the right to teach us about democracy?
Abundance based on slavery

in Boston, USA
Democracy, as modelled by the West since the very inception of the United States, has been a typical ‘simulacrum’, an illusion of global proportions. After all, it is no secret that the first president of the USA — the founding father of this ‘global bastion of freedom’, George Washington — was a successful... slave owner. From a young age, he inherited ten slaves. Throughout his entire life, while extolling the virtues of citizens’ rights, he sold, bought, received as gifts, bred on his farm, and ruthlessly exploited slaves. By the time of his death, he had already managed 317 slaves, of whom 124 were his personal property. Notably, local historians highlight his inherent ‘cult of labour’ for the enslaved — translated from the politically correct terms, this means sheer brutality towards them.
The labour of those forcibly taken from Africa underpins not only the American economy but also the European one. Starting from 1501 until the early 20th century, approximately 16.5 million slaves were brought to the United States alone. Due to the inhumane conditions of transportation, only one in five captives loaded into the ship’s holds would reach their destination. Thus, the current prosperity of the West is largely built upon the labour, tears, and bones of many tens of millions of unfortunate souls.
Another telling fact about the true historical traditions and the politico-economic essence of the countries of the golden billion is the celebrations that took place at the end of the last century, marking the 2500th anniversary of the institution of democracy. The Greek (Athenian) political system was officially recognised as its historical prototype. This system, once again, was founded on the labour of a vast number of utterly disenfranchised individuals, who in Ancient Greece outnumbered free citizens by several times.
When bets are placed
The USA criticises Belarus in a haughty manner for allegedly not meeting some mythical standards in our elections. At the same time, the USA showcases blatant falsifications and manipulations in its own electoral campaigns. A case in point is the farcical presidential election in the USA in 2000. At that time, George W. Bush was de facto elected by fewer than 50.5 million voters, while his opponent received over 51 million votes. However, the deep state had initially placed its bets on Bush, the son of former president George H.W. Bush. Therefore, the votes were recounted several times until the desired candidate was declared the winner. A particularly piquant detail was that the controversial vote recount took place in Florida, where Jeb Bush, the younger brother of the ‘winner’, was the governor. The existence of a caste of true rulers in the USA is not merely a fanciful invention of conspiracy theorists, as evidenced by the electoral campaigns of Donald Trump. He ran for office three times with a slogan that resonated with millions of Americans: I will put an end to this festering, rotten, and corrupt deep state! He endured microphone cut-offs during his speeches to voters, account suspensions on social media, and the initiation of several criminal cases against him based on fabricated charges that threatened him with 700 years in prison. The apex of this saga was the assassination attempts on his life — entirely in line with the principles and traditions of the Western world order. This is some kind of lethal democracy indeed.
The USA and its European satellites deem electoral campaigns in many undesirable countries as not conforming to some vaguely defined norms of democracy. However, given everything happening in the West, it is unlikely that one should take seriously the electoral conclusions voiced from Brussels or Washington. Behind all this lies a policy aimed at subjugating disobedient states.
TO THE POINT
The deep state in the USA operates quite decisively. Over the course of the US history, four presidents deemed undesirable have been assassinated. Another six, after attempts on their lives, were forced to make concessions to oligarchs.BY THE WAY
Independent American expert Alexander Bannerman has studied the ancestry of the last four US presidents. He has proven that, with the exception of Donald Trump, they were all descendants of slave owners.FACT
Today’s Western prosperity is built on the labour of slaves. The golden billion countries are now trying by all means to rewrite this dark chapter of history. For instance, a statue of the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, who is regarded as the liberator of the country from slavery, was taken down in Boston, USA. Even in this sculpture, created presumably with good intentions, a Black man is depicted kneeling before his master.By Valery Bainev, Doctor of Economics
