President's grants to cover youth policy
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has signed a decree which envisages amendments to several youth policy related decrees: On Improving Stimulation of Young Scientists’ Creative Work as of August 11th, 2005, No. 367; On Grants of the President of the Republic of Belarus in Science, Education, Healthcare and Culture as of September 13th, 2013, No. 425; and On Some Issues of State Support of Belarusian Republican Youth Union Public Association as of December 17th, 2012, No. 559 – as reported by BelTA with reference to the press service of the Head of State.
In line with the document, the fields of use of the Belarusians President’s grants are expanded – to cover not only science, education, healthcare and culture, but also youth policy: up to 100 grants are planned (up to twenty in each area: science, education, healthcare, culture, and youth policy).
Line ups of the Interdepartmental Commission for consideration of candidates to assign scholarships of the President of Belarus to talented young scientists and the Republican Commission for consideration of candidates nominated for grants of the President of Belarus in science, education, healthcare and culture are also updated.
Implementation of this decree will contribute to stimulating the promotion of youth projects, enhancement of the role of young citizens in realisation of the state youth policy tasks.
