President harshly responded to those who want to put pressure on Belarus and Russia
During his working trip to Vitebsk Region, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko confirmed plans to put the Oreshnik missile system on combat duty in December

“Oreshnik is a terrible weapon. It will be on combat duty in December already. Why is this being done? I want them [opponents abroad] to understand that we could use it if [the situation] goes bad. We may discuss it with Putin and make a decision to fire — so there is no need for you to invite a bullet. After all, the war in Ukraine began with that. In Donbass, Russian speakers were mistreated, killed, and poisoned. That was happening in front of my eyes,” the President said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled that peace agreements had been reached in Minsk, but the opponents decided to act by deception, which led to the current situation. “It has turned out that they did not come to an agreement. It has turned out that they came to Minsk to deceive Russia and us. They deceived, and the result is seen. Two million Ukrainian people have been maimed and killed. Well, why are you provoking? We — including Poles, Lithuanians, and others — used to live normally.”
“They [opponents abroad] are arming themselves, [spending] six percent of GDP — or billions of dollars. Well, if you buy a gun, you are doing this not to hang it on a wall. At least once a year a gun would shoot even if it is just on a wall, so they are probably buying weapons all over the world for some purpose. At the same time, they are wondering why Lukashenko has brought nuclear weapons into the country, why Lukashenko is planning [to deploy] Oreshnik,” the Head of State noted.
“Just so you know, we have exchanged our nuclear weapons once again. We took them out to Russia and brought the latest [modifications] in. They have been put in order. It is an expensive affair to maintain them, but Russians are rendering their assistance. We have brought them back. We are practising how to use them — both from airplanes and rocket weapons. We do not hide it either,” the President stated.
The President of Belarus also stated the readiness for ‘a big deal’ with the United States, though on condition that Belarusian interests are respected. “I tell the Americans: try to understand me. Trump, I say, acts the same way. [US representatives say] Trump is ready to meet, to make a big deal. May the Lord be with you. What is a big deal? [It means] we do what they want, and they do what we want: that is a big deal. I say: ‘We are ready, but we have our own interests’,” the Head of State noted.
“Well, we are not the United States, but I am the President. For me, the Belarusian people are the proudest, biggest, and most majestic. I am the President of this nation, and I proceed from this.So I can only do what I can. If I understand that people will not accept it, that they will condemn me for it (especially ordinary people)… These are actually my people: scientists, teachers, doctors, locksmiths, carpenters, and others. If I feel like they will not approve of me, I will make sure they understand me — and I will do it when they understand me. If they do not understand, then I will not do. That is all. That is why I have been President for thirty years,” the Head of State stressed.
