The upcoming work on the programme of Belarus’ socio-economic development for 2026-2030 has been discussed during today’s meeting with Belarus’ President, focusing on topical domestic political issues and preparations for the political campaigns – as noted by Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi after the event

Dmitry Krutoi said that the issues of employment and wages are actively discussed on the Internet, with the fugitives trying to present everything as if an ‘economic bubble’ – related to an outstripping rate of wage growth – is being observed in Belarus.

“Actually, the restoration of forecast parameters – that we are fulfilling – is now underway within the framework of our medium-term programme for Belarus’ development until 2025. The President views the level of income of the population to be the most key parameter, as well as the level of employment,” he explained.

The Head of the President Administration drew attention to the fact that employment in the country is now at historically low levels, while stressing that the issue of income should be included in the forecast parameters of the five-year plan, “We are not exceeding anything there, there is no sensation. We are fulfilling all the forecast parameters – covering production, exports and income — despite the sanctions pressure (almost half of the sectors of the Belarusian economy are under various sanctions).”

Dmitry Krutoi also said that during the meeting, the President touched upon an important topic of preparing the next five-year plan, “At the upcoming Belarusian People’s Congress, he would like to make some outlines so that during 2025 – when direct work on the country’s development programme until 2030 begins – we understand which directions we will move in.”
