Polish firms on the ropes since trade with Belarus curtailed

Polish companies engaged in customs clearance of goods from Belarus and Russia may face bankruptcy due to reduction in trade with Belarus, STV TV channel reports

Anti-Belarusian sanctions have caused a 90 percent reduction in trade. Contracts will be serviced until June 4th, 2022 only, and then the movement of goods will stop. As a result, agencies will lose funds and thousands of jobs – to eventually be forced to declare bankruptcy.

Customs brokers have drafted a desperate letter addressed to the Prime Minister, describing their plight – but received a boilerplate letter in response. They were offered alternative ways out of the situation that do not affect the current problems.
