The amount of the payment was 40 Polish zlotys per day for each person who was provided with a roof over their heads and food. The Polish government has decided to stop paying financial aid from July 1st. It is noted that the majority of Poles supported this decision.

According to media reports, the refusal of payments is intended to encourage Ukrainian refugees to be more independent.
