Poland extended benefits for refugees from Ukraine until late June 2024

The Polish authorities have extended the period of legal stay in the country, as well as the action of support measures for Ukrainian refugees, until the end of June. As reported by TASS, the bill approved by Parliament was signed by President Andrzej Duda.


The Chancellery of the Polish leader informed, “On February 19th, 2024, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, signed the law as of February 9th, 2024 on amendments to the law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with the armed conflict on the territory of this state, the law on personal income tax and the law on income tax for legal entities."

According to the document, the period of legal stay of Ukrainian citizens in Poland, as well as the action of their social and migration benefits, is extended until June 30th.

The Polish authorities adopted the law on assistance to Ukrainians on March 12th, 2022.
