Pinevich: coronavirus is completely under control in Belarus

The situation with coronavirus is fully controlled in Belarus. A whole range of measures is in place countrywide to prevent and stop the spread of infection, and to treat people – as announced by Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich at a meeting with the Head of State, BelTA reports

Dmitry Pinevich stressed that a detailed analysis of the epidemiological situation is being conducted in Belarus and the necessary measures are being taken at all levels of government.

“I want to say without tears or lament: the situation is completely under control. A whole complex of measures is being taken. These aim to prevent and interrupt the epidemic process, and to treat patients – which is also being discussed today,” he said.

Among the features of the current coronavirus wave, Mr. Pinevich noted a sharp rise in cases; the healthcare system had not faced this during the previous waves. “The neighbouring states, all countries, including in Europe, register a similar case growth,” he stressed.
