Petrishenko: CIS heads of state to gather on October 10th in Dushanbe, heads of government — September 30th in Minsk

Summit of CIS Heads of State is planned on October 10th in Dushanbe and the Council of CIS Heads of Government to be held on September 30th in Minsk — as noted by CIS First Deputy Secretary General Igor Petrishenko before a meeting of the Council of CIS Permanent Representatives at EcoTechnoPark — Volma resource centre in the Dzerzhinsk District

“A meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers will be held on October 9th in Dushanbe and the Summit of Heads of State is scheduled on October 10th. The agenda of the forthcoming gathering will be preliminarily considered by the members of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of CIS Member States to the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth. Ahead of these events, on September 30th, a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government will be held in Minsk. At today’s meeting, the members of the Council of Permanent Representatives will consider all those matters that must be included in the agenda in order for the gatherings to have a strong synergistic effect of integration and so that we can further develop our interaction and co-operation,” Igor Petrishenko noted.

The offsite meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of CIS Member States to the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth is taking place at EcoTechnoPark — Volma resource centre in the Dzerzhinsky District. During the meeting the Permanent Representatives will summarise the June 5th Council of CIS Heads of Government meeting in Dushanbe and define objectives for implementing adopted documents and agreements reached.

The Council of CIS Permanent Representatives will also consider proposals for the agenda of forthcoming autumn gatherings of the Council of Foreign Ministers, Council of Heads of Government and Summit of Heads of State.
