Peskov said that US sanctions could lead to complete breakdown in ties

New sanctions proposed in the US against Russia, including members of the country’s leadership, could lead to a complete breakdown of ties with the States, said the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti informs

“Potentially, sanctions of this kind could lead to the termination of relations between our countries, which would not be in the interests of either Moscow or Washington,” Peskov said in an interview with CNN.

The Kremlin spokesman underlined that such a step on the part of the United States would be a big mistake. Mr. Peskov asked representatives of official Washington whether they could ‘recall any example of a situation when sanctions helped them to solve a problem’.
