Peace widely promoted
Belarusian Peace Foundation turned 60, gathering friends, partners and colleagues in Gomel to celebrate the anniversary
“The main result of these sixty years is the idea of peace and kindness which our organisation conveys. It promotes strengthening of friendship between nations, patriotic education of our younger generation and respectful attitude to a person-worker since all benefits of the world are created by work,” Timofei Glushakov, the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Branch of the Belarusian Peace Foundation, said.
As the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, Gennady Solovei, noted in his greeting message, the Peace Foundation is known for its good deeds, interesting campaigns aimed at strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between peoples, as well as implementation of the ideas of mercy and humanism. “Your programmes expand the horizons of human communication, promote open and peaceful nature of our Motherland. As long as we are together and united, no one will disturb the peace in our house,” he addressed the solemn meeting participants, expressing his confidence that many more good deeds will follow.
Well-deserved awards were handed to the most distinguished peacekeepers, and Timofei Glushakov was among them.
