Pavlovsky: Ukraine has exhausted its military component
The defeat of Ukraine is predetermined but the US wants to prolong the agony in order to weaken Russia as much as possible – a stated by independent military expert Aleksandr Pavlovsky during his talk with ONT TV channel
He noted that Kiev is inferior in all positions and therefore it is trying to fight only in the information sphere. That is why the recent high-profile statements about the counter-offensive have been made.
“Ukraine has no positions in space. It suffered a complete fiasco in the air while the Russian Federation also dominates on the water. There are two spheres left: land and information. Kiev has no victories in battles. That’s why it concentrated all its efforts on the information sphere. The recent statements by Ukrainian politicians [that the Armed Forces of Ukraine should recapture the south of the country] were made specifically for the Americans to show their readiness to fight. A million servicemen is not an army, it’s just a million of people. The army encompasses equipment, weapons, trained personnel, and formed units that have undergone combat co-ordination. This is not the case with Ukraine. There are no queues at the Ukrainian recruiting stations. There are at least 2.2 million citizens of Ukraine in Russia alone, 5-6 million have moved to the West. Ukraine has exhausted its military component, therefore it uses the information one. After all, the Americans are already hinting that they are tired of helping.”
Discussing whether negotiations are possible in the foreseeable future, the expert noted that it is unlikely, “We cannot judge this. This is the decision of the Russian side and the Ukrainian side, which, of course, is under the influence of the United States. At first, when the only question was that the Russian Federation was providing assistance to the DPR and LPR, I think it was more realistic to find a consensus. But now everything has exacerbated. The US certainly does not want the parties to sit down at the negotiating table at this stage. Everyone understands that Ukraine will lose. It is the matter of time. However, the Anglo-Saxons are interested in extending everything, because this will lead to economic losses for the Russian Federation as well.”
