“Pakistan considers Belarus as a friend and ally in the region. Over the past few years, more than 80 bilateral agreements have been signed while another 10 bilateral agreements are currently under consideration,” noted the diplomat.

Last year, the trade turnover between Belarus and Pakistan reached $92.6m (177.7 percent compared to 2020). The balance is positive, amounting to $63.6m. Our exports were primarily based on tractors and spare parts for them, potash fertilisers, foodstuffs, and medicines. Belarus imports fruits, rice, leather goods, fabrics, textiles, medical devices, and sports equipment. In January 2022, the trade turnover stood at $3.46m (157.3 percent compared to the same period in 2021).

It is known that MTZ is working with the Pakistani Master Group Company on a business plan to jointly launch an assembly production of tractors in the Punjab Province with an estimated capacity of up to 10,000 units of equipment per year.
