Over 1,040 Ukrainian citizens arrived in Belarus over past day

Over the past 24 hours, 1,043 citizens of Ukraine crossed the border of our country – as reported in the Telegram channel of the State Border Committee of Belarus

“From 06am on April 5th to 06am on April 6th, 783 citizens of Ukraine arrived in our country through the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. Another 237 people came to Belarus transiting through Poland. 22 Ukrainians passed in transit through Lithuania, and 1 through Latvia,” noted the State Border Committee.

Belarus continues to provide necessary assistance to people arriving from the Ukrainian territory.

The department reminded that, from April 3rd, foreigners arriving in Belarus because of the socio-political situation in Ukraine, including those transiting through other countries, do not need a PCR test to enter our country.

Moreover, foreigners traveling from Ukraine to their place of permanent residence are allowed visa-free entry into Belarus until April 15th inclusive.

Gomel’s Farmatsiya enterprise opened mobile points for the sale of medicines in the village of Poddobryanka and near the Novaya Guta checkpoint for citizens of Ukraine.

Checkpoints in Belarus operate in a routine mode.
