Opinion: US is ready for major nuclear conflict, even if it can also suffer from it

Many politicians and analysts underestimated the US zeal in its desire to maintain world hegemony – as noted by Vadim Gigin, the Chairman of the Board of the Republican Znanie Belarusian Society, in his talk with Alfa Radio

The expert commented on nuclear threats of the United States, “No one believed that Americans would be ready to go so far. The US authorities want to produce a major nuclear conflict, even they also suffer from it.”

According to Mr. Gigin, Americans have launched a wide-scale campaign. “Firstly, they demonstrate that there are no red lines for them, and they are ready to do anything: the undermining of the Nord Stream is a vivid evidence of this. Secondly, the United States is trying to wage war in such a way as to provoke Russia to use nuclear weapons. They also want to simulate the use of nuclear weapons themselves. There are many options, and a nuclear incident on the territory of Ukraine is now very likely. The United States will try to conduct an international condemnation of Russia, to strengthen its isolation and then to use conventional weapons against the country. In this case, the question arises that the Russian Federation should use strategic nuclear weapons, and the probability of a nuclear war is accordingly extremely high,” he explained.
