Expert comments on Polish leadership dragging the country to disaster

The Polish government is trying to push Russia into a direct confrontation with NATO, and now the politicians of Poland cannot come to their senses – as noted by Vadim Gigin, the Chairman of the Board of the Republican Belarusian Znanie Society, during his talk with Alfa Radio

Programme host Vadim Shepet recalled Polish President Andrzej Duda’s statement in an interview with CNN that his country is ready to supply Ukraine with MiG-29 fighter jets in its arsenal.

“According to various sources, from three to five thousand Polish military personnel, instructors are in the theatre of military operations in Ukraine. At the same time, Polish society does not want to fight, we see it, but the current leadership of Poland is dragging their country simply into disaster. It is pushing the world into direct confrontation [of Russia] with NATO. It will not be some kind of hybrid war; it will be a real WWIII. Do they understand this in Warsaw? They do. But there are situations when you read history, how WWI, WWII began, and you see how politicians fall into some kind of stupor, it seems that everyone is aware of what is happening, but they cannot stop. I have a feeling that Polish politicians at this stage cannot stop and finally come to their senses about what they are doing,” Vadim Gigin stated.
