Opinion: anyone who decides to break into Belarus will face extreme damage

A deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Sergei Klishevich, commented on the results of the President’s meeting with the country’s power bloc in late 2022, noting that the Head of State and law enforcement leaders promptly share truthful information on what is happening, and Belarusians have trust in their words – which is really important

In his talk with Alfa Radio, the MP stressed that the inspection of the country’s immediate response forces and the ongoing counter-terrorism operation are very relevant topics, taking into account the geopolitical situation around Belarus. “Our country should be ready for everything, even the toughest scenario. If the opposing side sees this, it will have less desire to carry out its bloody plans against Belarus. Otherwise, our country may become a tasty morsel for the enemy. If we want peace, tranquillity and order in our state, we need to think about strengthening the power bloc, including demonstrating some of our capabilities and training troops,” he said.

Mr. Klishevich added that a damage to anyone who decides to break into Belarus will be serious, “Our country has the strength, means, opportunities and training experience for this – and we are getting the latter, by the way, with our allies from Russia. Belarus will not ask anyone when it needs to conduct military exercises. We all see that hundreds of similar drills are taking place on the territory of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, and their authorities do not even hide who these exercises are directed against. As regards security, domestic and foreign policy, our country will act exactly in the way it needs and with view of the benefits for its people.”

The MP noted that the information warfare is in full swing. “Any event and any reason will be used against our country. This is an informational and psychological pressure on our society. We will not pay attention to who is saying what abroad. The main thing is to ensure that our citizens understand what is happening around,” he explained.
