Only direct aggression against Belarus can draw the country into war, Lukashenko says
There is only one way to draw Belarus into a war: if aggression is launched against the country – as stressed by President Aleksandr Lukashenko today at a meeting on current issues of the mass media activity, BelTA reports
As noted by Aleksandr Lukashenko, numerous statements made abroad that Belarus will allegedly join a military operation in Ukraine are spread for a reason. “This is how public opinion is being formed in order to get us involved,” the Head of State explained.
“Meanwhile, it is only possible to draw us into the war in a single way: if aggression starts against us, if they start fighting against us. With this in mind, I keep my ears open. When reading this, I invite the military and ask them to report what is happening in the northwest, in the west. Do we see everything? Have we mobilised everything? How is our intelligence service working?” the President stated.
