Online trading in domestic jewellery allowed in Belarus again
On February 10th, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 52 On Remote Sale of Jewellery Through Online Stores, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
The document was adopted in order to support the domestic jewellery industry and develop online trade in Belarusian-made jewellery.
According to the decree, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs with appropriate licenses are allowed to carry out online trading in Belarusian-made branded jewellery from March 1st, 2025 to June 30th, 2026.
This right was for the first time provided for by Presidential Decree No. 36 as of February 1st, 2021 On Sale of Jewellery Through Online Stores and became effective on April 12th, 2021. It has been regularly extended since then.
