Nukus State University of AI and Cybersecurity keen to deepen co-operation with BSU
Representatives of the Belarusian State University (BSU) have met with a delegation from the Nukus State University of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity (Uzbekistan), sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian university’s press service
It should be noted that the foreign university was presented by Head of Department, Prof. Quanish Seytnazarov. Viktor Kochin, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Internationalisation of Education at BSU, and Tatiana Yanukovich, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Radiophysics and Computer Technologies, spoke on behalf of the Belarusian side.
“The visit of the distinguished guest is intended to promote bilateral co-operation between Belarus and Uzbekistan in education and science,” the press service explained. “In particular, they discussed ways to strengthen academic exchanges between students and teachers, organise internships and joint scientific projects, and hold hackathons and online training courses to promote inclusion and the use of AI in education.”
According to the institution, the foreign guest was introduced to BSU’s structure and traditions, the conditions under which foreign citizens study at the university, as well as its positions in world rankings. He was also informed about the university’s activities and competitive advantages.
In turn, Quanish Seytnazarov expressed interest in strengthening co-operation in the field of information technology. He named interaction with Belarusian universities within the framework of the International IT Centre, DATA LIVE CENTRE, of which he is the head, as a promising proposal. According to the Professor, the centre’s work covers training programmers, teaching business process automation skills, remote sensing of the Earth, cybersecurity and digitalisation.
The visit of the Uzbek delegation continued with a visit to the BSU Faculty of Radiophysics and Computer Technologies. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to work out the voiced proposals in detail with a view to their further implementation.
