News photo: Belarusian rescuers competing in extreme special disciplines

Ten national teams are competing in the 22nd Open Rescue All-Around Championships, organised by the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus. The images depicts search and rescue efforts in the context of overcoming man-caused circumstances. Victims are searched for in buildings, rubble and underground utilities, and are rescued using special tools and climbing equipment. The event runs from June 13th-20th. The rescue teams are from the regional and the Minsk city departments of the Emergencies Ministry, the ZUBR Republican Special Forces Unit, and the Emergencies’ Ministry University of Civil Protection.
