New Serbian Ambassador to Lukashenko: it’s privilege to work in such traditionally friendly country
New Serbian Ambassador to Belarus Ilina Vukajlovic considers it a privilege to work in such a traditionally friendly country as Belarus. She stated this to President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during today’s ceremony of presenting her credentials, BelTA reports.
“I think you will feel comfortable in Belarus,” the Head of State greeted the diplomat.
“Thank you very much. I already do. I am glad, and it is a great honour for me to convey to you the biggest and warmest congratulations from our President, Mr. Aleksandar Vucic. Indeed, it is a privilege to work in such a traditionally friendly country,” Ilina Vukajlovic said.
She also noted that the parties are preparing to celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations in November this year, intending to continue joint efforts for the benefit of the peoples of Belarus and Serbia in the future.
“When your cadence is over, don’t rush home. You will live and work with us,” the Belarusian leader invited.
During today’s ceremony of presenting credentials, the President noted that Belarus has been traditionally building friendly relations with Serbia – based on strong historical and spiritual ties between the two fraternal peoples. The Head of State stressed the interest in activating the entire range of Belarusian-Serbian co-operation and expanding contacts, developing mutually beneficial liaisons in industry, agriculture, healthcare and other areas, including with the use of high technologies.
