The parties tackled topical issues of international and regional security, shared views on the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility, discussed current challenges and threats in the East European, Central Asian and Caucasian regions of collective security, paying special attention to the implementation of the priority areas of the CSTO activities in 2023, which were put forward by Belarus as the chair of the CSTO. “These primarily concern the settlement of crisis situations, raising the prestige of the CSTO in the system of international organisations, the development of a crisis response system, collective peacekeeping forces and rapid reaction forces to solve problems in resolving conflict situations, and the development of an information and analytical component,” Aleksandr Volfovich explained.
