Negotiations in Belarus may contribute to resolving Russia-Ukraine conflict

Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei believes the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations – held on the Pripyat River bank – may launch a process that will not allow ‘a Slavic spring’ happen, BelTA reports

"I consider these negotiations extremely important since they can become the beginning of a process that will not allow the emergence – as one of the journalists said – of ‘a Slavic spring’. You can see from the final statements of the delegations that certain agreements have been reached; this inspires cautious optimism. We are glad that this has taken place on the Belarusian land since Belarus is ready to do everything for ways to resolve all crisis, problematic issues to be found,” the Foreign Minister stressed.
